TAKE ACTION TO FREE PALESTINE
Here is a landing page with local resources, petitions, etc.
Please note that as with everything, we are not experts (on this subject or on any, really). Impacted friends and members of our community have called us in to mobilize this platform to uplift the ongoing genocide as well as the years-long struggle in Gaza that began way before 2023. We are wildly grateful to be called in, to have the opportunity to listen, learn, connect, and grow through hard times, and to utilize our platform in alignment with our goals towards liberation for all. We are immensely grateful for our Palestinian & Muslim friends, our anti-Zionist Jewish friends who teach us that this movement is NOT anti-Semitic, our Black and Brown friends, our disabled friends, and to all marginalized working class creatives in the Hudson Valley who understand that both our struggles and our freedoms are intertwined. Thank you to everyone engaging with this moment. It matters.

ONGOING GATHERINGS
Looking to connect with others? Consider attending an action or gathering.
In an effort to prioritize and model intersectional values, we are doing our very best to include as much information around accessibility as possible. If there is anything missing or anything that could be more clearly described, we would be so grateful for your feedback.
We also want to lovingly ask folks to please mask up at any actions you attend. This is an action item given to us by groups such as Within Our Lifetime and by countless marginalized organizers worldwide. Masks or face coverings help sustain the movement by preventing surveillance and doxing as well as reducing the spread of airborne illnesses. We can't show up when we are sick or unsafe, so do your part to keep you and your neighbors as well as possible. If you need a FREE mask, please ask us and we will get one to you if you are within the Hudson Valley region!

SATURDAYS | 12:30 - 1:30PM | NEW PALTZ
Join New Paltz Women in Black for a weekly gathering. This is primarily a group of older, white allies who have gathered weekly for many years, centering different causes. Elting Library, 93 Main St, New Paltz, NY Fully outdoors. Please bring signs. There will be some available. No chanting. Primarily quiet aside from street traffic and horn honking. Sometimes there are counter protesters across the street, but they are easy to ignore and it is advised to do so. Takes place on a thinner sidewalk by a busy intersection. There is a bench, a rock wall, and a raised grassy area to sit. There is metered street parking nearby, and also free street parking a bit farther away (past the library on Church Street). There is a public restroom at the library and some in local businesses (if you have more info on this piece, please let us know). For updates, you can join the mailing list by emailing N[email protected] Transparency: a community member of color let us know that they have felt silenced by this group in years past & that BIPOC were not leaders. This is a space led by cis, white, elders. We are actively working with this person on how to move forward, but they have not expressed that we stop mentioning this gathering space. This space is also ideal according to 2 disabled community members, as it does not include chanting or marching & is large enough for attendees to show up however they'd like to.

***NO MORE NEWBURGH, BEACON, or POUGHKEEPSIE
Please be advised that these gatherings are no longer being stewarded, as Newburgh and Beacon have passed their Ceasefire Resolutions and Poughkeepsie passed this garbage resolution to stop us from showing up. Community members are welcomed to gather autonomously! We remind anyone doing so to please utilize safety practices such as not showing up alone, having 3+ folks to attend with, and reviewing your rights as protestors beforehand. If we can be of any help, reach out any time

PHONE CALLS & LETTER WRITING
A growing list of who to contact and how. Set an alarm once a week or once a day to make 1 call. Everything helps! Demanding a ceasefire is the bare minimum we can do from these folks who are supposed to represent us and who benefit monetarily from us electing them. NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE. We don't believe that the current western system will get us free and operating within it is not the way forward, but it is one way for folks with more privilege can disrupt the status quo.
