VOLUNTEER: Join our Image Description Team
Celebrate845 takes pride in prioritizing accessibility both in person and online. We make sure to include "image descriptions" (or IDs) on our social media posts, which are written captions that describe the essential information in an image. IDs can define photos, graphics, gifs, and video — basically anything containing visual information.
Volunteers can assist as often or infrequently as they like to. We have a shared document that all volunteers can access and contribute to. For more information or if you'd like to join the ID Team, please contact us!
CALL TO MAKERS: CELEBRATE845 MERCH COLLABORATIONS
Let's collab! Celebrate845 is looking to work with marginalized creatives living in New York's Hudson Valley on new merch. Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis. If you're interested, please review the following guidelines and fill out our form at your leisure.
MUSICIANS / SOUND ARTISTS: BANDCAMP
Celebrate845 has launched our own BANDCAMP page. This effort is taken on in the hopes of furthering power for oppressed artists, offering virtual stage and resources in one the major creative industries without succumbing to poisonous platforms. The page will host an ever-growing collection of songs, albums, demos, pieces, tapes, and more from around the 'Valley.
We are so excited to occupy this new realm and offer open calls to artists to share work their work through our hub - free of charge. For now, check it out, enjoy your stay, and support some local living artists while you're on there (especially if it's a Bandcamp Friday, where artists get full funds).
If you're a marginalized & working class artist in the 845 with a Bandcamp, contact us about listing a single on our platform. If you have a larger collaboration in mind, reach out any time.
