OPEN CALLS
CALL FOR OFFERINGS: COMMUNITY DAY ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8
We are thrilled to be hosting our second annual "CO-mmunity Day" on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Academy Green in Kingston NY. This day is intended to offer FREE art, music & wellness to the public while centering those most impacted by systems of harm all year long.
We are looking for folks to offer any of the following for free: food, group demos, body work such as acupuncture or ear seeds or massage, performance, art making, harm reduction, trainings, community updates, tarot or chart readings, mindfulness such as yoga or meditation. They sky is the limit so long as art, music, or wellness are being centered.
Interested? Please email us or use our contact form.
CALL TO VISUAL ARTISTS & WRITERS: POSTCARD PROJECT
We are creating a series of mailable postcards that will feature both visual art and works of writing created by artists living or working in the Hudson Valley region. Each artist chosen (20 total) will be offered a $50 honorarium for their work and be given a pack of free postcards (which will otherwise be for sale to the public). All funds raised through sales of the postcards will help Celebrate845 recoup any costs fronted or go toward future Celebrate845 programming.
Submit by Sunday, September 30, 2023 at 11:59PM EST. No extensions unless requested by email 3 days prior. We do not intend to create barriers, but we need to adhere to our timeline in order to honor the process of production and our own capacities as volunteers. No fee to apply!
CALL TO FUNDERS: HELP US PAY 20 LOCAL LIVING ARTISTS
Wanna help us move $ into the hands of 20 local working class artists? Celebrate845 will be creating a series of printed postcards that will feature both visual art & works of writing created by marginalized artists living or working in the Hudson Valley region. Each artist involved (20 total) will be offered a $50 honorarium for their work & the postcards themselves will help share their work far & wide.
1 $50 donation = 1 person gets paid! By contributing, you are helping us:
- Pay local, living, marginalized, working class artists
- Keep our offerings sliding scale
- Fund future programs which further support these folks and arts programming that is also accessible to the public
**Open call to artists dropping soon if we can raise the funds! We applied for an Arts Mid Hudson grant but were denied, so pivoting. We're hoping that businesses, organizations, & folks who have a lot will mainly foot this bill, but wanted to put it out there to show what's brewing & what we do in the background. If folks want to learn how we fundraise & help us do it, please reach out.
If you have questions or want to receive information, email celebrate845@gmail.com

MUSICIANS / SOUND ARTISTS: BANDCAMP
Take Care Recording Co. has collaborated with Celebrate845 to launch our own BANDCAMP page. This effort is taken on in the hopes of furthering power for oppressed artists, offering virtual stage and resources in one the major creative industries without succumbing to poisonous platforms. The page will host an ever-growing collection of songs, albums, demos, pieces, tapes, and more from around the 'Valley, plus collaborations with TCRCo.
We are so excited to occupy this new realm and will soon offer open calls to artists to share work their work through our hub - free of charge. For now, check it out, enjoy your stay, and support some local living artists while you're on there (especially if it's a Bandcamp Friday, where artists get full funds). If you're a marginalized artist in the 845 with a Bandcamp, contact us about listing a single on our platform.
Interested? Email Celebrate845@gmail.com for more info.
